Frustrated with clippers that overheated and the constant need for replacements, a college barber joined forces with his best friend to develop a groundbreaking solution. Together, they set out to reshape the barber industry. Learn how their vision came to life.

The Spark of a Revolutionary Idea

While studying engineering in college, I started cutting hair to make extra money, but my clippers overheated quickly. Seeing barbers rely on 5-6 clippers, I realized the industry needed a better, all-in-one solution.

Setting the Stage

To build trust, we created the Barber Style Directory, offering tutorials, styles, and recommendations. It became a trusted resource, allowing us to connect with barbers nationwide and better understand their needs. Their feedback shaped our clipper system, designed to tackle real challenges professionals face every day and elevate their craft.

Making a Dream a Reality

We partnered with Mississippi State University’s entrepreneurship center to refine our idea and raise funds. After setbacks from COVID-19, rigorous testing with barbers led to the creation of a tool built to replace all others.

Our Mission is Personal

I bought my first set of clippers while in college to make a little extra money cutting hair. Little did I know, I would have to spend every dollar I Initially earned buying more clippers because they overheated so fast!

After getting fed up with purchasing duplicates of the same clippers and trimmers because of them overheating, I teamed up with my best friend Tyler, and we developed the perfect solution to a problem barbers have been forced to deal with for DECADES.

With the Switch 1.0, never worry about needing multiple clippers, cord clutter, and dying batteries again. A product invented by a barber, for barbers.
